Barton has 30 years experience dealing with all types of animal since graduating in 1981. After two years in South West Scotland and five years in Faringdon he took the plunge and set up Elms Vets in 1988. In his spare time he is kept busy with his very active young son.
Sophie qualified from Cambridge Veterinary School in 2007 and joined the practice that October. She grew up in the Mendips looking after pet sheep, and spent a year working on a dairy farm in Canada before going to university. She enjoys music, and sings regularly with the Faringdon Singers. Phil joined the practice in September 93 and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1996. She grew up on a local farm and was involved in young farmers for quite a few years prior to starting her family. In her spare time she enjoys walking her border terrier Shrek and cycling whilst her young daughter rides her pony Timmy.
Emma joined the practice in April 2009, having qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1999. Emma grew up in Kent and moved to Faringdon in March 1999. Emma previously worked at other local Veterinary Surgeries before joining us and starting her family. In her spare time she can often be found walking her Springer Spaniel Mudge accompanied by her young daughter.
Natalie joined the practice in May 2007; she has a variety of animals which includes her two spaniels Jess and Becky, four guinea pigs and numerous chickens. In her spare time is can often be found walking her dogs accompanied by her two young daughters and horse-
Carolyn joined the Elms in July 2007, she had previously worked at an Equine Veterinary Surgery before starting her family. Carolyn enjoys many outdoor pursuits and has a lot of experience with horses. In her spare time she enjoys training and working her three dogs Tilda, Pepper and Fizz.
Tracey joined the practice in September 1992, and has had a previous background in Accounts and Business. She grew up in Kent where she owned numerous animals and even spent her early years working at a boarding kennels. She moved to Faringdon in the summer of 1988, where she now has a family and enjoys walking her two naughty rescue terriers Frankie and Polly.
Ruth qualified from Edinburgh Veterinary School in 2008 after having spent time with us during her training. She consults two Saturdays a month with us, spending most of her working week on a research farm involved in Farm Animal Welfare.
