Barton has 30 years experience dealing with all types of animal since graduating in 1981. After two years in South West Scotland and five years in Faringdon he took the plunge and set up Elms Vets in 1988.
In his spare time he is kept busy with his two very active young sons.
Sophie qualified from Cambridge Veterinary School in 2007 and joined the practice that October. She grew up in the Mendips looking after pet sheep, and spent a year working on a dairy farm in Canada before going to university. She enjoys music, and sings regularly with the Faringdon Singers.
In her spare time she is usually seen with her three-legged dog Merlin. She has a particular love for small animal surgery and wound management.
Fanny qualified from Cambridge Veterinary school in 1982 and worked at the Elms between 1993 and 2005 before, spending 11 years in a large practice in Wiltshire. She is now back in a part-time capacity and enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery.
Interest outside work include, reading gardening and trying to train 2 unruly spaniels.
Tracey joined the practice in September 1992, and has had a previous background in Accounts and Business. She grew up in Kent where she owned numerous animals and even spent her early years working at a boarding kennels.
She moved to Faringdon in the summer of 1988, where she now has a family and enjoys walking her two naughty rescue terriers Frankie and Polly.
Phil joined the practice in September 93 and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1996. She grew up on a local farm and was involved in young farmers for quite a few years prior to starting her family.
In her spare time she enjoys walking her border terrier Shrek and cycling whilst her young daughter rides her pony Jake.
Jemima's career in veterinary nurisng started in 2003. She completed a degree in Veterinary Nursing Science in 2007; going on to qualify in 2008.
Jemima joins Elms with a wealth of experience from working in mixed, small and referral practices. She enjoys many aspects of veterina ry nursing and has a keen interest in dentistry.
She has lived in Faringdon since 2008 and is kept busy with her young son, labrador, spaniel and cat who thinks he's a dog.
Natalie joined the practice in May 2007; she has a variety of animals which includes her four spaniels Pippa, Paddy Hettie and new pup Tilly along with Henry the cat and Luca the pony plus numerous other small animals.
In her spare time Nat can often be found walking her dogs accompanied by her two young daughters.
Lucy has recently joined the Elms having previously worked at Millets Bakery. Lucy has grown up with dogs and horses, and rides out most days.
In her spare time Lucy competes at dressage, show jumping and cross country. Lucy also plays in Faringdon Netball Team.
